Welcome to the C900 board. There are many friendly people here that will be glad to help you keep your C900 on the road. Do you know about the fix for C900 transmissions that pop out of reverse? It's fairly cheap and easy to do. If you have mechanical skills you can probably do it yourself for no cost at all. It's the subject of posts on this board about twice a week I think. So what is the problem with your transmission? What exactly does it do? If it just pops out of reverse as you back up then you should consider that easy repair. It's not guaranteed to work but is well worth a try considering the cost. If I could make $5000 by fixing C900 transmissions I'd be smokin a Stetson hat and wearing a big cigar! Whoever gave you that price is just making fun of you (unless it included a paint job, engine overhaul or some other major work). Tell us exactly how your reverse gear behaves and this board will give you the best C900 repair advice available anywhere. Bear in mind that some of us lose our enthusiasm to offer help when we hear that the car will be driven into the ground.
