RF,
1) in C900 any speakers thrown to the stock dash locations will give you quite narrow sound stage (aka stereo panorama). Period. The elder you are the more you demand from the sound stage and the less you require from the frequency response. Period.
2) I'm over the seas and don't know what you've got there on your elves' market. All things equal I'd recommend you choose component speaker system over co-axial one (using supplied cup mount install tweeters into those round things next to the vent round things - so you can tune the soundstage in the HF region by twisting and rotating tweeters in those cup mounts); a driver with bigger magnet over driver with smaller one; simple paper midrange driver cone (read: light) over plastic one with complex pimples all around and led backlight (read: heavy).
3) considering #1 and #2 one may think of the following smart move: do not invest much into this project (otherwise you won't go with stock dash speaker locations preferring something like custom made kickpanel pods or underseat boxes) and combing out used speakers market. When looking at a used speaker check the cone for physical damage like extra holes or cracks or such (must be none), the cone surround for cracks and disruptions (must be none), dust cap (the center cone thing) must be solidly glued to the cone and there must be no graze feel when you check the full cone travel one way and the other (be careful not to damage the cone with this test). Lead wires (going into the speaker from the terminals) tend to break over the time but it's not a big deal to fix them if you know how to hold a soldering gun w/o inflicting damage to yourself or the others.

Don' be afraid of using 8Ohm drivers from home or professional applications - your headunit can safely drive them just like it drives more-common (for car audio) 4Ohm drivers.

Zig

P.S.
If you don't use the back seat that often you can go this way (these boys are quite big ones):

Here goes my HF and MF setup (you can also see the headunit and the remote thing on the steering):

FWIW, the color thing in the middle is Mr. Dee Jr.

And here you can get the idea of what it looks like if you go full-range with wide stage:
