Used the boiling water method, not a good solution... I didn't want to go out in a fiery death flame from the back of my C900, so I tried boiling water. Not nearly hot enough to dent the plastic line. I think next I pulled the complete line from pump exit to the filter, flushed it with air/water, used a "remote flame" held far away....this softened the line enough that the check barb would extract. Double clamped it on reassy. My son still drives that C900 so it held (10 years ago).
The last one I did, just cut the small section out, used FI hose which from memory was 5/16" (8mm) and FI clamps on both sides of the connection. I won't mess with pulling lines & flames again!
