If nothing is loose and falling out then put it in the box with the rest of the spare parts.. ;-)

Looks like some sort of clip.. could it have come from a previous owner .. maybe something fastened to the sun-visor that broke loose and ended up under the carpet? Never know what you will find when you pull the rug up.. t
