Parts are parts, this L hose is a real winner it will look 100% fine but is actually rotting under the c clamp just waiting for the day to blow. Mine went at about 200,000 miles with a pin hole at the bottom part of the hose where the c-clamp connects it to the motor. I had thought at the time ill just disconnect it and shave off the portion that's got the hole and reconnect it while waiting for the new one on order. Soon as the c-clamp was removed and the L hose was pulled the entire thing turned to mush. Just a rotted mess, no way to reattach which put the car out of commission till the new L hose arrived, or till the temp was found.
Before the c-clamp was removed the hose looked perfect. Just a warning if you have in upwards of 200,000 mlles and have never replaced that hose get the new one before removing the hose clamps.
Its been awhile since this happend but if I remmember right I found a temp hose at a 45 degree angle at an auto parts store didnt know what the temp hose was for nor did i care it would work to get the car running while waiting for the 90degree to arrive.
