Found an 1984 900 (8Valve) to donor the transmission into my buddy's 1988 with the destroyed pinion gear.
I am not very well versed in the subtle differences of the C900 gear box over the years. Can anyone give me some insight as to what to expect during the swap?
Are we better off salvaging the needed parts (final drive gear-set) and rebuilding the current transmission? or should we just bolt up the donor and hope for the best? (assuming that it will directly bolt up. will it?)
