My '92 SC left me very much alive on the side of the road after the engine cut out repeatedly last summer when the engine was warm. Fuel pump relay. $35 part that took two weeks to narrow down. Last I knew fuel pumps were supposed to get the full 13.x volts; make sure there isn't too much resistance between the pump and its ground, and throw a relay at it.
My fuel pump relay's demise was hastened by a lazy oxygen sensor that was forcing everything rich, and the pump couldn't keep up. I only had 30k on the sensor, but it was nine years old, so I felt all right throwing a new one at it. Or more accurately, I'll install the new one once I sweep off the parking lot and put the car up in the air a little bit.
Best of luck, and as always, please post a reply on this thread when you find out what it was.
