Hello all,
Not a newbie to the sight. But I did start posting much more often a month or two ago since Saab withdraw had finally taken over me fully. I stopped working at a Saab dealer about 2 years ago to work in a european specialty shop. So I had been way too occupied getting to know those other makes and models and work on everything from new ones to 1950's versions. I was pretty familiar with fuel injection systems from cis up to current motronic but not really familiar with old bosch true mechanical fuel injection. And I had worked on a few weber carbs but now I see a few of them not to mention some of things the english used over the years.
And during that entire time I was driving and fixing my Saab 9-3 or 9-5 and working on some customer Saab's. Then last fall I found a 1993 turbo convertible with a good body and a bad head gasket for a good price. So I replaced the head gasket and performed all the other maintenance I found it needed. Replaced the dash with a very good one I had. Installed a set of new lock cylinders I had purchased when I had my last convertible and never used and some e-code headlights. Probably this week I will get a plate for it and start driving it. After I work out any bugs that show up with use I will install the rechipped lh box I have from my last 93 900 with matching injectors, apc box and turbo. Bernie
