The 1993 9k 8 1/2" friction plate and cover you have now must be from a non turbo because a 1993 9k turbo clutch is much larger (9 3/8"). The 9k friction plate and cover you have now may interchange? but it wouldn't be an upgrade as both are 8 1/2". Your '89 SPG flywheel won't work for either the early '86 to '90 9" (228mm) 9000T clutch (which I recommend) or the mid year '91 to '93 9 3/8" (238mm) 9000T clutch. Both are a larger bolt pattern. For the early 9000T clutch you'll need a '90 up Classic 900T flywheel and for the even larger mid year 9000T clutch you'll need the mid year 9000T flywheel as well however the 9000 flywheel's timing marks are off by 30 degrees! The 30 degree mark on the 9000 flywheel is actually "0" for your Classic 900. What I do is to re-machine an early flywheel like yours for the desired 9000T clutch to be used which works great because the C900 timing marks are of course correct. The mid year 9 3/8" clutches are getting harder to source now days but I've got early 9000T clutches available in the original equipment AP brand which has more clamping force AND LESS PEDAL PRESSURE! than the Sachs brand which I despise! Here's a link turbocon86 posted that shows how much more robust the early 9000T 9" clutch disc is compared to the '90 up 900T 9" disc.

Your C900 clutch slave will work with either of these 9000T clutches! I'm getting ready to list some brand new 30# injectors on TSN parts classifieds if you haven't already purchased yours? This whole 9000T clutch upgrading is a bit confusing so if you would like more info don't be afraid to give me a call! Dave at Precision turbo works 805-235-3951
