Check this out and provide correction clues if possible. When motoring down the highway this Saab 91/900 turbo convertible is a joy to drive no misses , no hickups just plain fun. Replaced the tired 88 Motor some one placed in it with a sound 91 motor I picked up from Japan in great shape. To address the sputtering starting problem, I have 1. checked fuel pump pressure, good. 2.replaced 02 sensor. 3.cleaned AIC 4.replaced throttle body. 5. Reset throttle position sensor. 6.Run STP fuel cleaner with two tank full of gas.7 replaced distributor cap, rotor and wires and plugs,8.Replace MAF and conducted every test suggested by Bently and so far sputtering starts continue. Should I consider using 89 or 91 octane fuel? to eliminate the problem and solve my CEL problem?
