did you keep any spare parts from the old one? same year even! They aren't making these anymore so parts are valuable...
Some stuff is large and heavy and hard to remove (like the tranny) but spares like the AMM are easy to remove and store on a shelf, relatively year specific, and hard to source. I hope your autobox lasts you well or you may wish you had kept the manual on a shelf... make sure you do regular atf changes with Ford type F only. Drain and refill with every oil change, and be conscious of shift points. The auto is fragile, particularly with a turbo. I really regretted not buying a neighbour's 1993 manual (for the tranny alone), but I had no space so it went to the crusher...
If the recyclers still have the car (was it a crusher or a real recycler who resells parts?), you might consider grabbing some spare parts off it while you can. We are lucky to have a recycler that has numerous saabs in the pick and pull at all times and more in the back yards waiting. He holds them for years... but some crush them and send the metal to China just as fast as they can get them in.
wrt the coolant situation, I would overhaul the system as per townsend. New rad, tstat, fan switch, all for 82 degrees. New hoses if they aren't already newish (even check the lower one for wear where it rubs against the engine). Flush whatever is there thoroughly with water first to get rid of contaminants... Then refill with G05 (Mercedes coolant). Probably the PO just never kept up on this stuff. You will definitely want the 82 degree setup in Miami - lets the engine run a bit cooler, and heck, I do that up here in Canada where it is cold in the winter (and hot in the summer but not miami hot!)...
good luck!
