I use the method that Nate mentioned that is in Bentley. You take off the valve cover, putting some rags positioned at the low point of the head assembly as the oil will drip over the edge. I've also jacked the right side of the car up a few inches to reverse the incline of the head, so the oil will retreat back into the sump.
Find the hollow bolt that is furthest from the pump, so that would be the one towards the radiator.
Open the bolt so the oil can escape per the Bentley. Take out the fuel pump fuse. And it helps to pull the spark plugs to allow the engine to rotate faster. Then use the starter to roll over the engine, and let it pump the oil out of the bolt to bleed out the air. Close the bolt, put the plugs back in, secure the valve cover, and replace the fuse. It should start and run without the same clattering or oil pressure light illumination, and if not, then the next thing would be the dreaded oil pressure relief valve on the front cover ( on the rear of the engine ) as it might not be functioning. Hard booger to get to......good luck
