Shift Up Light success story Posted by Haskell60 [Email] (#1511) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Haskell60) on Fri, 23 May 2014 19:07:15 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
After wondering why my Shift Up light didn't work, I searched this BB and buckled down on my instrument panel lights. I noticed a small plastic cap where the shift up light bulb should be, and replaced it. It now works great, coming on a little earlier than needed, but I still think it's a neat idea. It goes off on turbo boost and when I press the brakes, and stays off in 5th gear. Since the car I'm driving originally had an auto transmission before the guts of my SPG went into it, they must cap them from the factory for auto transmissions. If anyone needs a free small plastic cap to cover an empty dash bulb spot, PM me.
While there, I replaced a stubborn instrument bulb light. Now I can tell how much fuel I have at night!
