BTG,
corrosion gives resistance which gives heat. Broken insulation gives almost everything: corrosion and sparks and heat. I don't have any real fire stats, but I'll be surprised to find out if #1 reason goes to anything but electrics.
Zig
P.S.
Here in Mordor it's illegal not to have a fire extinguisher (2l min for powder typ, 1l min for CO2 typ) in a passenger car. The bigger the car, the bigger extinguisher is req'd - so if you've got a small dick and a big truck then you need 5l min powder or 3l CO2.
And yes, we call the quarter pounder the royal cheeseburger.
