Another possibility is the overtemp shutoff sensor that is in the top radiator hose. Has two wires going to it -- when the engine gets hot, it shuts off the AC. It's possible the sensor isn't working properly or it is oriented too close to a hot object, like the turbo. It might be clocked in an odd position and then the sensor trips the circuit open, therefore shutting off the AC. Just a shot in the dark on that one......it makes me recall when I was on the way to Minnesota and driving through Iowa it was hotter than the hubs of hell......the AC quit....I pulled into a small town, went to the NAPA store to get a recharge can, and came out after the car cooled off, and it worked.
