The Vermont troopers would be on me in a second if I drove without a hood - maybe at night would be safe. It IS near the start of a month so they should be more forgiving now.
Plugs and wires are new, NGKs with proper gap and Bougicords. Cap and rotor are new. Coil is not new, but it doesn't miss or anything. Just doesn't have power when I open the throttle. I even advanced the dizzy about 10 degrees for fun just to see what would happen and nothing came of it. Even the knock sensor checks out (hit its bolt lightly with a hammer and punch and it spikes a small voltage). Charging voltage reads 14.5v on my VDO volt gauge, corroborated with my multimeter. The grounds? I checked the main ground from the battery just last week when I changed the battery, and I am currently running two alternator grounds, one of which is a length of soldered 1-gauge wire with copper terminals.
