Let me offer a different thing to look at: The top bulkhead connector. This is where all of the wiring for the windows (among other things) transitions into the passenger compartment from the fusebox.
My '89 had the same thing happen spontaneously - both power window motors decided that they would go on strike. I tore apart the interior, checked all the grounds, traced all of the wiring, and came up dry. Then I studied the wiring diagram in Bentley again and noticed that it all goes through the top bulkhead connector.
I said what the heck, reached up under the dash and wiggled each of the connectors going to the fusebox. Power windows were operational again.
Now, when it happens, I just wiggle the top one.
Sometimes a bit of corrosion gets on the pins in the connectors. Wiggling them restores proper contact. One of these days, I'll pup the connectors out and clean up the pins with tuner lube.
This may not work for the '93 you're looking at but it's worth a try.
