Last Spring I was out on the highway and the car lost power. I was able to keep it going by playing with the gas pedal but eventually it stalled out. if I let it sit for awhile It would start but there was missing and eventually it would stall out again and so on.
I'm just getting back to the car now. I tested the AMM and got 388 ohms resistance between pins 3&6. I tested the IAC and got 20ohms between pins 1&2 ; 20ohms between 2&3;and 40 ohms between 1&3. I believe this means AMM and IAC are functioning correctly.
When I start the car now it will idle OK for a minute or so then idle will drop and engine stalls out. I'm not sure what to test next? I believe when I posted this in May someone suggested I check the FPR. How is the FPR tested and can it be tested if the engine won't idle properly?
Besides the FPR are there any other things I can check to try and track down the problem? The 900 S is an excellent winter car and I'd like to get it running again now that the weather is still good. Any help or advise most appreciatiated.
