What else to replace on clutch, wont stay bled Posted by Ilovemountains [Email] (#1318) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ilovemountains) on Tue, 7 Oct 2014 04:33:11 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My car had its entire clutch kit replaced 20k miles ago including the entire hydraulic system. Last month or so I posted that the clutch would self bleed and be fine for a while then get very soft and lose its pedal. Fast Forward: I had to replace the brake master so while I had it out I pulled the clutch master to install a rebuild kit, found the return spring had snapped in half. I installed a new master and used my Motiv pressure bleeder to bleed the brakes and the clutch once again. The pedal was all the way to the top, felt great but now once again is getting mushy and losing the upper 1/4 of its stroke. If I tap the pedal over and over it builds back up and is rock solid the whole way down. I don't get it, could there be more air in there or is the master crap again? Very frustrating little demon. I cant imagine its the line or the slave, any input or ideas would be great because Im out of ideas!
