Greetings Saabsters. My '87TC 5 speed has been running very well, including the transmission which shifts really smoothly with no whines in any gear (once in a while there is the slightest notchiness going into 5th). My question is, sometimes when I'm getting off the freeway having been in 5th or 4th and decelerating in neutral and having come to a stop or a slow roll, when I put the transmission into 1st or 2nd it engages fine and everything works well, but there is a distinct 'Clunk' that is large enough to feel in my body just as I'm shifting into the low gear, before I take my foot off the clutch. It only happens once, and only occasionally, and the tranny continues to work as it should.

I'm just wondering what this might indicate, and if it's anything that I could/should nip in the bud before it gets worse...
