There is significant resistance to spin for both the compressor and exhaust turbines. The resistance can be overcome, and it spins freely for a partial rotation, and then stops. There doesn't seem to be any play.
In the process of removing the turbo from the car.
The car originally came with the Mitsubishi turbo. When I replaced the cracked head a few months ago there was more oil in the manifold and intake piping than I felt comfortable with, so I swapped out the Mitsubishi turbo with a spare Garrett I had.
BTW, I am running the redbox APC.
I want to get both rebuilt and balanced, does anyone have any suggestions on where to send them?
