Just be sure to size the swap up first and, as Snow mentions, be especially attentive to positioning of the exhaust manifold/downpipe. I once re-used the then-new exhaust system from a '93 automatic sedan on a "reconfigured" '93 (the FrankenSaab) and discovered that the dipstick/fluid refresh tube of the manual transmission transplanted from my '88 3-door could not coexist with the manifold.
Of course mine was a complex and special case, YMMV, but it's something to check before you commit to a plan of action.
