Diaphragm is shot, you get your accumulator back, with a hole in the top. Otherwise he can do it.
I decided to go a different route, but it involved a used part on ebay (jaguar 90-94) with a new accumulator mounted for $165. Works great, but that's not really helping anyone. I'm going to follow up, probably send him my old one for giggles, never know when someone might need one passing through town...

Hi Nick,
The pressure is "doable" but, as you mentioned, if the diaphragm is shot, it cannot be recharged. That will not cost you anything (except shipping) to find out, but then it cannot be reinstalled once I drill it.
Is this a GM based unit? I have some similar bombs in my spares but I am not sure what their application is. I will compare it to yours once I get it.
Also, The valve protrudes about an inch out of the top surface - please be sure you have enough room to install it once the valve is in place.
Thanks,
Dave
