Check for spark at the coil by disconnecting the end of the center dist cap wire and placing the loose end 1/4 inch (gap) from the radiator frame (don't hold it, you might get shocked.Put a weight on the wire or bend it around 'til you get the gap.)Try to start the engine with the key and look for a spark at the gap. (Assuming that the engine is cranking or turning over.) No spark, check the CPS plug right near the starter motor.(WD-40 it) Still no spark, it's probably the CPS but check the connections of the two thin wires at the coil for voltage with a light. You can also avoid changing the CPS by replacing the "S" dist with a Turbo dist which entails cutting and splicing into the three CPS wires.
