Check valve 0-rings (feed and return) Posted by JonH [Email] (#3776) [Profile/Gallery]

Just wondering what others on this BB have done regarding the four o-rings on the feed and return check valves on the top of the fuel pump. There are three options. 1. Re-use the old ones, 2. Install aftermarket o-rings (inexpensive), and 3. Install Genuine SAAB o-rings (~$30.00). As I have said, I am oftentimes reluctant to use some aftermarket items, and this is one of those times. I was wondering if any of you have had any experiences with this. Also, what about lubrication of these o-rings? I've heard of the use of Vaseline, which I don't like. I would think either silicone grease or di-electric grease should be used to facilitate installation without damaging the o-rings.
