I don't like to pull off the black lines and just graft in the rubber line bridging between the pump and manifold in the line set. Just study it and make a plan so you don't cut the black line before you're ready to make a commitment.
The directions seem to be sparse like most of the stuff that is around these days. I haven't bought one in awhile, but I don't recall a manual for doing the pump install. Just be careful with the rubber parts and don't force anything as it's old and feeble.....
The fuel pump arm isn't used in the 900 tank -- there is a column float next door to the pump.
I got a proparts pump and the angled connectors would barely fit into the pump. I had to send it back -- turned into a rebuild job as I recall. I suppose I could have drilled out to expand the holes, but that seemed odd to me that the finish diameter was too small, so I sent it back.
I'd try the walbro insert using the Saab OE stuff, and make sure you use a fresh O ring to seal the tank. Once they are soaked in gas, they expand, and it won't fit. Getting the spanner wrench for removal and installation of the retaining ring is very helpful as well -- I think you can get that at eeuro
