I just swapped out the instrument cluster in my 94 900 (commemorative Edition) convertible. I doubt if the a 92 cluster would fit in your 91. The changes started in 1988. Saab had to make room for the SRS air bag and ABS brake lights in the 1989 model. That change lasted through the 91 model. For some reason Saab decided to change the font on the lettering and the position of the various lights along the top of the instrument cluster in 1992. 1993 was the last year for production of the "classic" model. Very important to know what year Saab this cluster is being removed from. This is also true regarding the various button switches along the bottom of the dash from 1988 an on. (wiring & lighting differences).
P.S. the upshift light is a part of the 92-93 models. I disconnected mine.
