A/C Fan Cutoff Switch delete? Posted by ChrisMiami [Email] (#1592) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ChrisMiami) on Wed, 8 Apr 2015 08:30:41 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My Saab is never driven in actual wintery temperatures. The lowest ambient temperature I can remember while driving has been maybe 69 degrees F.
I have to replace a lot of cooling parts and since the A/C fan cutoff switch (sits inline with the upper radiator hose) is one of the parts, I am wondering if there's going to be any significant issue just deleting it.
Whenever I drive, even in winter here, I keep the A/C switch on so that both fans run. I can understand not wanting to turn the radiator into a big block of ice, but is that even likely to happen?
Would I really run into problems with coolant getting way too cold without this switch?
Actually, what I'd like to do is just rewire the fans to they both run all the time.
Thanks,
Chris
