Brake light switch is easy to source and replace. Eeuro has them.
Rear light circuit board is probably part of the light assy, so if it is a huge mess and you want to keep it "from the factory" a junkyard light would be the way to go.
I've written about this before, but the problem here is that the ground and several other power heavy "signals" need to pass thru the connector. Any corrosion = resistance = heat = worsening of the situation including eventual melting. Death spiral. The best solution imho would be to solder every connection by hand. Many add a ground wire since that is the first trace to melt. It is not a panacea but helps for a while. Fortunately, the "electronics" of these lights is not rocket science, so it is possible to overcome the poor ee design!
