Its nothing more than a brain fart. Inside is a metal coolant line you can salvage from the hose. The end of the hose near the throttle body has a nipple that plugs into the intake air duct work. This nipple is made of the same metal as the coolant line that's running inside the hose, in order to preform a modification you'll need to hack saw that metal nipple off and use it later.
That hose moves a great amount of air from the valve cover to the duct work. Take the metal nipple you hacked off and the valve cover plastic nipple go to the auto store and get a 2feet of heater hose that fits the nipples. You'll need a small hose clamp to tighten the hose to both nipple ends. Moving so much air that hose will decompress when it's heated to operating temp. So find a long spring to shove in the heater hose, hose clamp the two nipples on the end of the hose, run the new line to the valve cover and the other side (the hacked off metal end) just pushes into the plastic duct work.
To remove your old line from the plastic duct work just pull on it. Make sure to remove the rad hose from the throttle body to the line also.
