Naw. Mea culpa. I was the one who broke the thread. But I read your post and Walt's post before it went pfft. Very helpful info!
One thing that I found was that having the transmission on a small harbor freight movers' dolly made it easy to jockey the transmission around under the engine to align it.
And, of course, after it was sewn up, I noticed some rust in the passenger side inner driver and looked a little closer. Dang ... I've never seen one that worn before. Good thing I have a few spares.
I'll have to give a go at the main pulley bolt to see how good my impact wrench is.
It's amazing how much easier some things can be when the engine is out :-)
