Darn, I can't remember exactly how that sucker comes off...I believe slides toward the front. But, if my assumptions are correct and you are putting a "new" relatively rust free door in place of the old, do not put the grey plastic hardware onto the door until you get the new door in place. Ask me how I know...measured for hardware placement and put everything on before I installed the door, and it is off by about a quarter inch. One of those things that probably only I notice, but it draws my eye every time I look at the passenger side door.
