Spg panel warpage

As the spg are getter older, it seems the panels are getting more warped.
I assume it is due to the plastic shrinking, and the metal rail that mounts these panels. I've notice a few that appear very bad/hideous! really warped!
How can this be fixed??
Mine have become increasingly warped: so what can be done?
Regular sanding and bondo- or another type of filler?
AS for the rails, it would be senseless to keep that system for I can imagine it will simply happen again after filling in, and remounting the panels.
I wonder if supporting the panels at the upper sides would be enough to obtain a tight seal, so water could not get behind the panel.
On a side note, I had Saab air flow kit, before the spg emerged- and there was no warpage on that kit. It was a stiffer plastic, and the mounting system was through the panels with a moulding covering the rivets.
any ideas to consider would be great/highly appreciated
