Turbo noise will be a faint high-pitched whine similar to when the pilots spool up the engines on an airliner for take-off. Low-pitched grumbling noise when turning at mid-speed is wheel bearings. Some turbos can be pretty noisy like a police/fire siren. Others can barely be heard. If it was just rebuilt, it should be fairly quiet but still heard on the wind-up...
