You position the nuts at the green icon that you've created. And probably the black-marked nut will be the better/easier choice (you might have some difficulty getting the blue-marked version into place).
The idea is to create a small gap between the pressure plate (and clutch disc) and the flywheel when you want to remove them. The nuts will work as a temporary spacer tool when positioned correctly and work with the tightening bolts.
When the bolts are tightened and the plate is compressed, you can then slide in the spacer tool (fat wire) between the pressure plate fingers and the housing.
You then release the tightened bolts and the pressure plate is now locked into a slightly reduced-thickness dimension upon which you can slide out together with the slave cylinder.
