I`m unable to find a thread from somewhere which IIRC reckoned you could ease out the just the slave cyl after depressing the pressure fingers. I think it suggested filing a notch on one finger or the rim of the new slave piston to give a tiny clearance but just enough to squeeze past. I`ve got to replace one & if I can avoid removing the plates was thinking it might be worth it in terms of time & ease of completing the job. If you have a picture or know the original article that would be great.
Thanks if you have an suggestions, Julian
