In Ky it's just the perfect time to clean the leaves and other trash out of the drains of the 900 C. Cleaned the sunroof drains today on one as it was leaking water in the drivers side. Then I cleaned out the hood air inlet box drain. The sun roof plugged drain can be obvious, but the clogged air inlet where the A/C core sits is far more serious and not as easily detected. I just poured a quart of water into the hood air inlet and saw the drain was very slow in letting the water out of the box. I used a shop vac to get out the leaves and a garden hose on high stream to flush out the drain (don't over fill as water may overflow inside the car; half way up is good). Two of the 4 had blocked drains at the air inlet. A car with the air inlet drain clogged sitting outside in the rain can cause the inlet box to overflow into the passengers side of the cabin, soaking the foam carpet backing and setting up rust and just lots of extra work if you don't attend to these drains. This is especially true if the car is sitting in a nose up position. So get those drains before it's too cold to mess with water. I also use one of those flex shafts like on a magnet you can buy at Big Lots. I just cut off the magnet and it's a great flexible drain cleaning tool. Use care not to jam it into the A/C core in the inlet box. This little bit of extra preventative maintenance is a great work saver. I learned the hard way.
