Left speakers cutting out

Hello, this is not as dire as most posts on here, but I recently picked up an 86 SPG and I've noticed that after about 10 minutes of driving, both front and back left speakers cut out. Sometimes I'm going around a corner leading me to believe it's loose/corroded wiring, but other times I'm just driving in a straight line.
Often, if I turn the radio off for a second and back on, the left speakers work again. I've checked the wiring to best of my ability (removed the front speaker grilles) and the wiring looks good.
Has anyone experienced this before? After this happened a couple of times I remembered my first 900, and 86 Turbo, had this very same issue and used to drive me crazy. Before I go tearing it all apart to find the problem I thought I'd ask here first. Thanks for reading....
