Car Dies Between Gears

Hello, I have a 93 900s that is stalling between gears. I notice that when I wait between gears, the idle will dip down to about 200rpm and raise back up to about 1,000. Sometimes the car dies. This feels like a vacuum issue, but I'm not sure. The car had a head job done recently and I put everything back just as I found it. What do you recommend?
Thank you.
