Sticking caliper or ABS problem?

I've noticed the last couple days that at stop lights and such, my '91 N/A 900 does not roll back as freely as it normally would when the brakes are released. Sometimes it feels fairly normal, and other times it just sits there. I decided to check it out a few moments ago, knowing that something is sticking or binding. Upon quick assessment of radiated heat from each wheel, it became obvious the LF caliper is dragging. I checked the sliders and they are perfectly free.
My question for those more enlightened than I is, what are the chances of the ABS unit causing this problem versus the more common assumption that the piston is sticking in its bore? If this were a non-ABS car, I feel the answer would be clear, but with anti-lock in the mix, I would like a few opinions from you all. If it were the ABS, how would you go about diagnosing such a problem?
Thanks, fellas.
