Trouble bleeding a new rear brake caliper (wierd) Posted by Notnoel [Email] (#23) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Notnoel) on Sat, 5 Dec 2015 14:01:14 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just finished installing a new rear brake caliper. I have not yet hooked up the emergency brake cable or messed with adjusting screw. I got it all assembled and back it he car, then went and got my wife to assist me with bleeding it.
I loosened the bleed screw and w e did the in-in, out-out drill, but no brake fluid started coming out and the pedal remained firm (even with the bleeder open).
I don't get it. Bentley says there's a specific order I should do this in, but I can't imagine it is so critical that I am not getting fluid into the caliper. Anybody got any idea what is going on here?
