Picture of it installed, but it slides most of the way under the drivers seat in the 88 cvt.
I paid around $100 for a clean lightly used one, looks like they are still around $150 new. It does affect the rear passenger footwell a little. However, it is very sturdy, i have no problem with passengers resting their feet on it, and the small amount that is still visible is easily covered if necessary. It takes inputs from both speaker and line level, i just 'y'd the line to the amp under the back seat (amp for the two-way component speakers in OEM location).
You really hit the nail on the head as far as complimenting my DD. it struck a chord, for sure. I find my self enjoying the 9-2X way too much. It is smooth, revs to 7k rpm with that boxer motor, and is all around infinitely more pleasurable to drive. Plus it is pretty damned quick, putting out around 250 hp right now.
So, the whole C900 thing for me has come down to the benefits of the convertible.
