The Saab C900 was designed to have minimal torque steer by having an inline engine and transaxle using nearly equal length front axle shafts. A lot of small things can cause or exacerbate torque steer but if you have noticeable torque steer in your C900 it's probably due to one or more things being worn or out of specification. Years ago I regularly drove my customer's C900s that had low miles (so no worn steering/suspension parts) and frequently pushed them hard without ever experiencing torque steer. My daily driver, a 1987 turbo 3 door, gets thrashed pretty hard on winding mountain passes and exhibits no torque steer at all. Torque steer is more typical of transverse engine FWD cars that have radically different length front axle assemblies.
