I got a call from Kevin at Injection Labs in Boulder that my LH2.4 AMMs were finished, so I took the opportunity to ask for the procedure to test the LH2.2 AMM adjustment.
The one thing I recalled from his description earlier in the year was that you have to adjust the AMM screw with the O2 sensor disconnected. Actually, you use the existing O2 sensor to monitor the voltage, and at the same time adjusting the screw to find the null point. So, in essence, the ECU goes into open loop and you find the 50% point.
Then, when the O2 sensor is connected, it can find the correction to cycle back and forth from lean to rich and find stoich mixture.
Hope that makes sense -- if not, then contact Kevin at Injection Labs and he'll guide you through the procedure.
One note is that the O2 voltage is not instantaneous when turning the screw. You have to turn it, and then wait for the voltage reading. Then make the next turn and wait. Swing it one way, and then the reverse counting the turns and return the screw to the null position.
OK, so that's what I gathered from him, and confirmed that the set procedure is accomplished with the O2 sensor disconnected.
