Get a piece of 3/4 copper tubing about 3 inches long and cut a window on one side about 1" by 1" square. Put that on top of the spring retainer and install the spring compressor. You reach through the window with needle-nose pliers or hemostats to remove and install the keepers. Put some vasoline on the inside of the keepers when re-installing them so they stick to the valve stem and make extra certain that they are fully and properly tucked in before relieving the compressor.
