Knowing that you aren't afraid of anything when it comes to these cars, I'd suggest you start thinking about taking an 88 stripped car and move all the suspension components over.
The biggest fabrication challenge is the parking brake brake to move it to the rear.
So, one thought would be to take the later model rear parking brake axle setup and install that, migrating the ebrake to the rear, eliminating it from the front. Just disconnect the front ebrake, and use the one in the rear.
Then, when time allows, put in new spindles with the later model front brakes and then at that time, you might as well put the 9000 front brakes on as they are AWESOME.
The downside would be you have different bolt patterns on the front and rear for a period of time.
I've done two of these, and vowed to never do another one. Now, I'm going the opposite way in terms of taking out the ABS and going to an 88 system. Maybe. We'll see.....
If you want to chat about that conversion over the phone you should have my phone number. Too cold to work outside, and the shop heat can't keep up with the low temps over the next few days, so I'll be home.
