Found the problem .....Removed the wiring harness from the rear lights. Use a utility knife blade tip to pry and re-bend the two sided contacts for each wire on the plug end.. I found several that were flatten and probably not making connection. I just took my time. Then I clean the light housing connection. They looked fine without any melted look. After all this I still had weird lighting problem until I pushed the connect in really tight, with force since it didn't seem to lock in. I then use a small C Clamp to hold the connector plug and then secure it in place with two small screws on each side of the plug. Didn't worry if the screw touched the two end wires since I was just screwing through the plastic housing. It's the brightest the lights have ever been. So If anybody else has the rear light / turn signal problem, start with cleaning / re-bending the contacts / squeezing and securing the plugs connector with screws from the sides. I started to attempt to pull the knee bolster. So glad I didn't. I did manage to set off the SRS light while leaving the turn indicator loosened Now off the the inspection lanes to get the car tagged. Hope they don't give me a hard time about the light. I know the air bag still works after setting off the light. In Delaware you can disable the bag. you just have to have the bag in-place. Crazy Delaware Motor Vehicle rules
