I used one once upon a time, hooked up to the stock oxygen sensor. It was a Sunpro from Amazon, I think I paid $25 for it. Kind of silly, but I needed something to fill up an extra gauge hole in my console thingy in a N/A car next to the oil pressure and voltmeter. It matched the VDO gauges pretty well. Some people thought the lights were annoying, but those people weren't my real friends... The air/fuel gauges on the market generally have blinking lights instead of needles because the ratio fluctuates too darn fast for a needle to move.
Simon's right, the narrowband reading off your stock oxygen sensor won't tell you much other than that your ECU is in closed-loop mode and your car isn't leaning out on acceleration. It is only really sensitive right in the middle of the air/fuel ratio, and anytime you're very much leaner or richer than the ideal stoichiometric ratio, it just reads fully-lean or fully-rich. I used mine to diagnose a vac leak once. Car was running lean and would lean out more when I hit the gas. I also used it to set the potentiometer on the LH 2.2 air mass meter. It worked better than connecting a voltmeter to the oxygen sensor output so I always figured if I stopped using it I would mount it in a piece of plywood and use it for an LH 2.2 adjustment "special tool". It was fun and entertaining but not super useful for performance work unless you're just using it to make sure your fuel system isn't malfunctioning. It MIGHT help you set up an old-school-style rising-rate fuel pressure regulator. Maybe. Some folks just do those by ear and trial/error though.
