I'm sure there will be numerous comments on how to fix this, or to try to remedy the grind.
A few of the things that come to mind
1) there is still air in system
2) lost motion in the clevis to pin on the pedal
3) worn hole in the pedal where the pin goes in
4) worn shifter coupling rubber "bar"
5) loose coupler, either the pin to shift rod is moving or something is just loose
6) lack of oil in gearbox
7) bad oil in gearbox
8) clutch hydraulic line is "moving" or "ballooning"
9) shift coupling not correctly set
10) shifter pivot ball is worn, loose, other issues with shifter inside console
Wow....that was ten that came to mind.
OH....could be the carpet is balled up and keeping the clutch pedal from depressing all the way.
I had to do every one of these to keep 5th from grinding........almost wore out the transmission just trying all this stuff out.
Personally, I would say to have the system bled, by pushing fluid from the nipple on the slave upwards to the reservoir. That method just about makes it impossible for air to enter, but it's a bit fiddly as you don't have room to work down there.
