My valve only leaked ... Posted by walt [Email] (#2707) [Profile/Gallery] (more from walt) on Sun, 11 Dec 2016 15:56:36 In Reply to: Heater core/vale leak, Ron94C, Sun, 11 Dec 2016 14:02:02 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
from push rod seal unless the valve was open. Was able to stop it by tightening the push rod packing nut. If not, then would recommend replacing seals if valve is rebuildable. If not rebuildable, then get a used Saab valve for rebuild. I had a rebuildable valve made by Sameer that leaked from 1.5 x 2.5 inch silicone rectangular seal, that is not included in seal kits sold on eBay. Also have started using spring clamps instead of windup clamps on valve hose spigots to prevent cracking plastic spigots.
